The hall was originally part of the Horham airfield where it was used as a guard room during WW2 and in conjunction with Denham Parish Council we are now in a position to complete it's renovation. This includes the sympathetic renovation of the hall to ensure it is suitable for modern community use but retains it's unique heritage character. For further information on how the renovation is progressing, please see our dedicated renovation page.

The 95th Bomb Group Heritage Association operates a museum in Denham, known as the Red Feather Club, from a number of faithfully restored buildings on one of the communal sites of the 95th, to help keep their memory, and the vital contribution they made to the war effort, alive. The official UK home of the 95th is a living museum and monument to the only Eighth Air Force Bomb Group to receive the Distinguished Unit Citation three times. Visit their website for visiting times and events.
Thanks to the generosity of the Nationa Lottery Fund and the other national and local charities and organisations listed on our sponsors page, we have now secured the whole funding amount required to complete the building works on the Hall. We are continuing to raise funds locally to ensure that we can expand the use of the Hall once the renovation is completed. For more details of how you can support our fundraising events contact us on info@denhamccmidsuffolk.org.uk
The New Reeding Woods Group was set up in the spring of 2003 with the intention of finding land that could be planted to provide community woodland for the residents of the Villages of Denham Horham and Athelington. By the autumn of 2004 land adjacent to Pound Lane between Horham and Athelington became available, and eventually enough funding was found to buy the land in trust for the three villages. To Join “The Friends of Pound Lane Wood” please contact Mike Reeves on 01379 668 179
St Johns Church sits in the deep peace of its intimately tree-shrouded churchyard, beside a narrow, rolling lane running westwards from the little hamlet of Denham. There is no tower, and the church appears from a distance as if it might have an agricultural purpose as much as a religious one, a low ancient jumble hugging the soft ground.
